Andrea Thill

My name is Andrea Thill. I graduated in  May of 2016 from CSUSM with a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Marketing Management. I have an abundance of interests, including fashion, cosplaying, design, crafting, horseback riding, animals, traveling, writing, and reading. I am almost consistently listening to music or a good podcast.

In the summer of 2017, I decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine, which was learning about horses and how to ride them. Since then, I have been taking horseback riding lessons at an amazing equestrian center in Bonsall, California,  Sundance Hills Equestrian Center. I also work there as a lead wrangler 1 day a week, and help the owner of the stables with social media, website updates, and poster designs.

After riding for about a year, I decided to compete in Gymkhana. About 2 years after that, in 2020, I decided to make a big decision and purchase my very own horse! I have been competing on Ruby after a short break due to COVID-19, and then another almost 2-year break after she kicked at her stall neighbor and injured herself.

Falling in love with the sport of Gymkhana, and the non-profit Mudslingers club, I was able to join the board, first as the Social Media and Website manager, and then graduating to Vice President. The CGA Mudslingers board consists of 4 volunteer board members, and we work on raising funds to host horseback riding competitions. We also raise money to provide prizes to the winning riders on the day of the competition, and at the end of the season, also known as “Year End Awards”. Our goal is to award the first-place club members with Coriente saddles as first-place prizes. Our volunteer and fundraising efforts, for the last several years, have allowed us to give out saddles to 6 first-place winners! – www.mudslingersride.com

If that wasn’t enough, I am in the process of starting my blog to showcase what I learn along the way, of becoming a homesteader. I currently have two dogs, a cat, a rabbit, a duck, 5 chickens, and, as previously mentioned, a horse.

Even after all of that, I guess I wasn’t busy enough? I got roped into helping out this amazing up-and-coming comic book/publishing company! Ever heard of it? You might know it, Bad Bunker! I designed this website for them and will spearhead their marketing and social media efforts. The CEO is a cool dude that I went to high school and college with! And my fiancé is the art director and artist for Bad Bunker.

I design clothing, and I also design and make costumes. I love graphic design, and I am skilled with the program Adobe Illustrator. I love DIY projects, so if I can make something on my own, I will try my best to do so. I cannot wait to get my own home so that I can decorate it with style and have as many animals as my heart desires. I want a nice closet to keep all my clothes in, and an office/craft room where I can get creative! And I want to have a nice quiet place where I can sit down and enjoy a book.
